I was recently fortunate to ask a question of the Home Secretary.
I raised an important issue relating to police long service medals, and if they can be awarded retrospectively.
I believe it is important that community champions get the recognition they deserve, and I am happy to say that I will be meeting the Home Secretary to see if we can support former police officers in celebrating their achievements.
