It was great welcoming Minister of State for Transport Huw Merriman MP to Dudley.
Along with the Leader of Dudley Council, Patrick Harley, we were given a tour by the CEO of Black Country Innovative Manufacturing Organisation, Neil Fulton.
It was great to welcome Huw to Dudley to see what we’re doing with Very Light Rail, and a great opportunity for him to see a special track we have here, unique in the United Kingdom for not just testing light rail, but all sorts of other rail concepts.
We also benefited from a visit to the BCIMO building where we can carry out maintenance, refurbishment and test new technologies within the building itself.
BCIMO which is next to Dudley Zoo, adds to my ambition for Dudley becoming the future transport technology hub in the country.
