Everyone deserves dental care - here's how we plan to achieve that

I made an interesting and informative visit to Bhandal Dental Practice in Dudley, to talk about the Governments NHS Dental Recovery Plan.

Everyone who needs a dentist should be able to get one. Simple.

So we are launching a new plan to create 2.5 million extra appointments. We plan to do this by:

  • Providing new incentives to UK graduates to join the NHS instead of going private will help increase the number of dentists in the NHS.
  • Providing more cash incentives for dentists to take on more patients. 
  • Setting up the ‘Smile for life’ initiative, where children of reception age will be encouraged to combat dental decay from an early age, with a specific programme in nurseries.
