Dudley has been without a police station in the town centre since the one on New Street closed its doors in 2017. Since his election in 2019, Marco Longhi MP has campaigned for a police station in the town.
It has now finally been announced that a new 'Dudley Police Headquarter' will be located at a building on Castlegate Park, not far from the town centre, following Marco’s successful campaign.
