In the speech, Marco Longhi MP mentioned that there are many changes we can bring to strengthen our current laws to make them more adequate in protecting our heritage buildings, including our pubs.
One way of doing this would be by giving buildings interim protections while their listing application is being considered. This is how it works in Wales and the same should happen in England.
