On the early hours of Friday morning, I became your Member of Parliament. I would first of all like to say thank you.
It is a great honour and privilege to become your MP and I would like to thank everyone who placed their cross next to my name on Thursday.
The hard work starts now. On Monday I will be travelling down to Westminster on your behalf for the very first time and my mission is clear. Let's get Brexit done. Let's deliver on the promise of 20,000 new police officers, more cash for our schools, and an extra £33.9 billion for our NHS.
We must now deliver on Brexit. We must take our country forward and make sure that this new Parliament works on behalf of the people of this country.
I will do my part in honouring the choice that you have made at this election. I will not let you down.
