After receiving a tip-off that the junctions on both ends of the Northway (Sedgley) were in a terrible condition, Marco Longhi MP inspected the damage. Giant potholes, damaged kerbstones and a lack of line markings were just some of the numerous problems that littered the junctions on both the Wolverhampton Road, and Gospel End Road.
Marco reported these, along with photographs, to Dudley Council back in February and again inspected the junctions again in April to find that they had gotten worse! Contractors working for a utility company had damaged more of the junction with Gospel End Road, and there were still numerous issues that hadn’t been resolved.
Back on the case, Marco again reported these issues (along with further photographs) to Dudley Council to try and get a fair deal for local residents. Thanks to the recent investment in highway works by local Conservative councillors, Dudley Council scheduled extensive repairs on both ends of the Northway.
These works are now being carried out (week commencing 13th June 2022) and will hopefully fix these long-standing issues. Marco would like to thank Dudley Council for the repairs now being taken, and the local Conservative group for their efforts.
If you know of any further road issues which need fixing, then use the contact form at the top of this page to report them to Marco.
