It was a huge pleasure to be opening the newly refurbished Blacks Vets veterinary care hospital on Hall Street and to meet the brilliant team there.
The love and care among staff for their pet patients and the care and compassion for pet owners was palpable.
Animals are very close to me. I support all events in Parliament to ban the smuggling of animals, all Trophy Hunting, animal mistreatment and inhumane livestock treatment. I have launched a survey to ask people for their views on the proposed XL Bully dog ban.
I will certainly be voting FOR the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Bill next week in Parliament !
This bill will make it an offence to export from or through Great Britain live livestock for slaughter outside the British Isles.
