After countless issues with Castle Meadows Nursing Home - and pressure from myself to take action in resolving them - I can finally relay some positive news on the situation.
I can now confirm that Dudley council will commence works to secure the premises from unauthorised access on 31st January.
The works are expected to take several days, and the authority will seek to recover costs from the landowner. It is important that the landowner covers these costs, and NOT the taxpayers.
From reported burglaries to anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping, Castle Meadows has been a blight on the local community. I am relieved that action to resolve this is finally taking place, and I thank you all for your patience in recent months.
